ICC Allows Mohammad Amir To Play Domestic Cricket

Cricket Council (ICC), the game governing body, has lifted ban
partially on Pakistan left arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir and has allowed
him to
play domestic cricket matches. ICC
has also officially informed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about
permitting Mohammad Amir to play domestic cricket.
After one year of domestic cricket Mohammad Amir’s performance and
attitude will be assessed by ICC after which Amir future will be
decided. The 21-year-old Mohammad Amir was banned for five years by ICC
on spot fixing charges during Pakistan’s tour of England in 2010.
Recently ICC formed a committee to look into Aamir’s five year ban after
PCB interim chairman Najam Sethi raised his voice for Mohammad Amir in
ICC meeting held in London.
Mohammad Amir before ban played 14 Test matches and 15 One Day
Internationals (ODIs) in which he took 51 and 25 wickets respectively.
In 18 Twenty20 Internationals he bagged 23 wickets. It is expected that
after taking part in domestic cricket for one year Mohammad Amir will be
alooowed to play international cricket for Pakistan.
