Parvez Rasool Shows His Respect for Islam
Jammu and Kashmir Off spinner cricketer Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar has hide Beer logo from his jersey. He recently debut in Indian Premiere League against Kolkata Knight Riders. Earlier, Parvez Rasool didn’t know about that this is logo of a liquor brand. The brand is one of major sponsor of IPL team. Parvez told that he found on internet about this logo and then decided to inform team management about decision. I told management that this logo hurts my religious sentiments, he added. The team management has agreed with Pervez request.
Pervez told media that he used tape to hide logo and most people were shocked that’s why I was doing this. Then I clarified that my religion doesn’t allow alcohol usage. He clarified that his belief are more important than anything. My family is also happy with this positive decision, Pervez said. 24 years old Pervez told that he would hide this logo even during practice session, Parvez said.
There are no reports of fine or match fee deduction for Rasool. There are many Muslim players are playing in IPL including National Squad cricketers but no one dared to take this bold step.
